Saudi Arabia loses its last friendly match before the World Cup against Croatia

The Saudi national team lost 0-1 to Croatia in a friendly match that was held on Wednesday at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, as part of the preparations of the two sides for the FIFA World Cup, which will start on Sunday in Qatar.

Although the host got his advantage at times and got chances to score in the two halves, Croatia reached the net at the end of the match through Andrei Kramaric (82).

Saudi Arabia is participating in the World Cup for the sixth time, the best of which was the first in 1994 when it reached the round of 16.

The team will play its first match in the World Cup next Tuesday against Argentina in Group C, which also includes Mexico and Poland. As for Croatia, it plays in Group F, which includes Belgium, Morocco and Canada.
