Gulf Cup Football Federation Delegation Arrives in Jeddah for the “Khaleeji 27” Draw Ceremony

A delegation from the Gulf Cup Football Federation arrived today, Friday, in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in preparation for the official draw ceremony of the Arabian Gulf Cup “Khaleeji 27,” scheduled to be held on Tuesday, May 19, at Culture Square – the Art Center of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Historic Jeddah.

The delegation is led by Mr. Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cup Football Federation, and will oversee the final organizational preparations for the draw ceremony, including coordination related to the arrival of official guests and participating delegations, in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Local Organizing Committee. The ceremony continues to generate considerable media and public interest, reflecting the tournament’s standing as one of the Gulf region’s premier sporting events and its strong connection with audiences across the region.

In this regard, Mr. Jassim Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cup Football Federation, stated that all arrangements related to the Khaleeji 27 draw ceremony are progressing according to the established plans in cooperation with partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He noted that coordination meetings will be held to review the latest developments with all relevant stakeholders.

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cup Football Federation further emphasized that preparations in the city of Jeddah are progressing at full pace in anticipation of hosting the tournament, which is expected to deliver another Gulf football festival in line with the spirit traditionally associated with every edition of the competition.

Last Wednesday, the Gulf Cup Football Federation, in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™️, announced the launch of the official identity for the Arabian Gulf Cup “Khaleeji 27”, as part of the ongoing preparations for Jeddah to host the tournament from September 23 to October 6, 2026.

The tournament will be hosted in Jeddah for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing legacy of the Gulf Cup.
