H.E. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Thani Congratulates Kuwait SC on Winning the AFC Challenge League Title

His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Thani, President of the Gulf Cup Football Federation, praised Kuwait SC following the club’s success in winning the AFC Challenge League title after defeating Cambodia’s Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng 4-3 in a thrilling final held on Wednesday at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait.

With this historic victory, Kuwait SC further cemented its place in Asian football history. The club is regarded as one of Kuwait’s most prominent, having won numerous domestic titles and consistently remained a leading name in Kuwaiti football. Kuwait SC also holds the record for the most Kuwaiti league titles with 20 championships.

The President of the Gulf Cup Football Federation stated:
“On behalf of the Gulf Cup Football Federation, I extend my sincere congratulations to Kuwait SC on this remarkable achievement and on securing their fourth continental title, having previously won the AFC Cup, currently known as the AFC Champions League Two, in 2009, 2012, and 2013.”
