Al-Muqbali: We knew how to win the three points

Oman striker Abdulaziz Al-Muqbali was awarded the best player of the match after scoring two goals in the first half of the game against Kuwait.

Al-Muqbali played 90 minutes and was the first attacking option for coach Koeman. He, with these two goals, reached his fourth goal in the history of the Gulf tournaments. He also scored two goals against Kuwait in Gulf 22 in Riyadh, in 2014.

Al-Muqbali said after the confrontation that his country achieved the most important thing, which is to get out the three points and achieve the first win in the tournament.

On the pressure of the Kuwaiti team on the Omani goal during the second half, he said: “All changes of the Kuwaiti coach during the second half were offensive, which generated constant pressure, but in the end we knew how to get the three points.”
