The UAE national team begins camp in Abu Dhabi in preparation for the Asian Finals
Yesterday, the first UAE national football team began its camp in the capital, Abu Dhabi, in preparation for participating in the Asian Cup finals scheduled in Doha next month with the participation of 24 teams, where Al-Abyad plays in the third group alongside Iran, Palestine and Hong Kong, and opens its journey by meeting Hong Kong on the fourteenth of January.
At New York University Stadium on Saadiyat Island, Al-Abyad trained under the leadership of Portuguese Paulo Bento and his assistant staff, with the participation of all the players who were called to the list, namely: Khaled Issa, Ali Khasif, Khaled Al-Hashimi, Khalifa Al-Hammadi, Mohammed Al-Attas, Omar Hussein Heikal, Yousef Al-Muhairi, Zayed. Sultan, Abdul Rahman Saleh, Abdullah Idris, Ali Salmeen, Yahya Nader, Muhammad Abbas, Hazem Muhammad, Abdullah Ramadan, Tahnoon Al Zaabi, Abdullah Hamad, Fabio de Lima, Ali Saleh, Ali Mabkhout, Sultan Adel, Issa Khalfan and Caio Canedo, while players will join Al-Ahly and Al-Sharjah youth in the camp after the end of the Super Cup match, which will be held next Friday.
During this camp, the Emirati will play two friendly matches, the first against the Kyrgyz national team on December 30th at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at Al Jazira Club, while in the second friendly match he will face Oman national team on January 6, 2024 at Al Nahyan Stadium at Al Wahda Club, after which the technical staff will announce the final list of players, which includes 26 players according to the AFC list, who will participate in the tournament, noting that the delegation will depart for Doha on the evening of January 8 via Abu Dhabi International Airport.
