Al Ain regains the top spot in the UAE League and joint runner-up with Al Wasl and Shabab Al Ahly

At the end of the sixth round, Al Ain regained the lead in the UAE League, after defeating its guest, the Emirates, 3/1, even though Al Ain played incompletely for 80 minutes. Laba Kodjo scored for Al Ain in the 7th minute, and Eric Menendez 44, and in stoppage time of the first half, Kodjo added the third goal. While the UAE’s goal was scored by Andres Iniesta in the 58th minute from a penalty kick.

Thus, Al Ain raises its score to 15 points at the top of the standings, while the UAE remains at 5 points in 12th place.

After its great victory over its host Hatta by five clean goals, Al-Wasl raised its score to 14 points in second place, while Hatta sits at the bottom of the competition without any points. Al-Nasr also snatched an exciting draw against its host Shabab Al-Ahly 3/3, raising Shabab Al-Ahly to 14 points. Also, on goal difference, it is behind Al-Wasl, while Al-Nasr raised its score to seven points in ninth place.

Sharjah defeated its guest, Baniyas, with a clean five, raising its score to 12 points in fourth place, and Khor Fakkan won over Al Jazira 4/2, leaving Al Jazira’s score at 10 points, and Khor Fakkan reaching point 7.
