Al-Sadd beat Al-Hilal.. and the Saudi Al-Ittihad was the first to qualify in the King Salman Cup for Arab clubs

The Saudi Al-Ittihad team qualified for the quarter-finals of the King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs 2023, after defeating Tunisian Sfaxien 1-0, in the second round of the group stage yesterday, Sunday.

Al-Ittihad’s goal was scored by player Karim Benzema during the events of the second half, to ensure that his team qualified for the next round, after achieving the full mark by winning the first two rounds, after its victory over Tunisian Esperance in the first match, with a score of 2-1.

In the rest of the Gulf club matches in the tournament, a goalless tie was decided as a result of the Tunisian Esperance match with the Iraqi Al Shorta, while the Qatari Al-Sadd won 3-2 over the Saudi Al-Hilal, and the goals of Al Sadd were scored by Baghdad Bounedjah, Tariq Salman and Gonzalo Plata, while the Al-Hilal double came through Michel Bassist and Salem Al-Dosari.

Today, Monday, the competitions of the second round of the group stage will be completed, where 4 upcoming matches will be held, which will bring together the Emirati Al Wahda with the Algerian Belouizdad Al Shabab, the Saudi Al Shabab against the Egyptian Zamalek, the Moroccan Raja with the Kuwaiti Kuwait, and Al IttihadTunisian Monastiri  against the Saudi Al Nasr.
