The Portuguese Queiroz a coach to Qatar national team

The Qatar Football Association has officially announced the appointment of Portuguese Carlos Queiroz as coach of the first team until the World Cup 2026.

And the Qatar Federation stated in a statement on its official website: Queiroz will lead the first team with Qatar national team preparations for the 2023 Gold Cup competitions next July in America, in which the team will participate at a special invitation from CONCACAF after the team participated in the last edition 2021 that was held in the United States of America.

The Portuguese Carlos Queiroz has a rich biography, and he has extensive experience in Qatari and Asian football, as he previously coached the Iranian national team from 2011 to 2019, after he led it to qualify for the 2014 and 2018 World Cups, and he also led it recently in the Qatar World Cup 2022, and he left after leaving the tournament, where they won one match and lost two matches.
