Al Hilal wins the Diriyah Super Sports Cup in Abu Dhabi
The President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Meshal, crowned Al-Hilal team with the Diriyah Saudi Super Cup, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Saudi Federation, Ibrahim Al-Qasim, Abdullah Al-Junaibi, Vice-President of the UAE Football Association, the General Director of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, Saleh Al-Jaziri, and Mohammed Al-Khereiji. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Al-Wasail Company, the exclusive marketing and advertising partner of the Saudi Football Federation.
Al-Hilal won the Diriyah Saudi Super Cup title after defeating Al-Ittihad with a score of 4-1 in the final match that took place between them at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi.
The UAE capital hosted the tournament activities during the period from April 8-11 with the participation of Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, Al Nasr and Al Wahda clubs, where the semi-final was held last Monday and witnessed Al Hilal’s victory over Al Nasr, and Al Ittihad’s victory over Al Wahda.
The 2024 edition of the Saudi Super Cup was called the Diriyah Saudi Super Cup after the Saudi Football Federation, represented by Al-Wasel Company SMC, as the federation’s exclusive marketing and advertising partner, signed an agreement with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority under which the name Diriyah Saudi Super Cup was approved for this year’s edition of the tournament.
