Omani Beach loses the semi-finals of the CIS Games

 

Oman’s beach soccer team lost the semi-final match of the second CIS Games hosted by Belarus, to the host country, 4-0.

The participation of the Omani national team in this tournament comes within the framework of its preparations for the World Cup finals, which will be hosted by the UAE during the period from 15-25 November 2024.

Oman team was included in the second group of the tournament consisting of two groups, accompanied by Russia, Uzbekistan and Egypt, and started the campaign by defeating the Uzbek national team with a great score of thirteen goals against one goal, but it lost the second confrontation against Egypt 6/3, then it revived its hopes in Completion of the competition by advancing to the second round by defeating Russia 7/4, in the last matches of the group stage, to lose the opportunity to qualify for the final against Belarus, the champion of the first Group 4/0.

The Omani Red faces the Russian team today again in the third-place match.
