Saudi team Al Shabab to the quarter-finals of the Champions League
The Saudi Al-Shabab Club succeeded in reaching the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League, after defeating Uzbekistan’s Nasaf 2-0, on Sunday at Al-Janoub Stadium in Al-Wakra, and Hussein Al-Qahtani (13) and Ever Banega (55) scored the winning goals for Al-Shabab Club.
In the group stage, Al-Shabab topped the second group standings with 16 points from six matches, compared to 7 points for Indian Mumbai City and the Iraqi Al Quwa Al Jawiyah and 4 for Al-Jazira of the United Arab Emirates.
On the other hand, Nasaf won second place in the fifth Group with 9 points from six matches, with a difference in direct confrontations behind Al-Faisaly of Saudi Arabia, compared to 7 points for Al-Sadd of Qatar and 6 for Al-Wehdat of Jordan.
