Announcing the final stage of ticket sales at the end of this month

The International Football Association (FIFA) announced the sale of more than 2.45 million tickets to attend the matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, which will be held for the first time in the Arab world and the Middle East, confirming the rising enthusiasm for the tournament among fans from around the world, less than three months from the launch of the historical football festival.

FIFA figures indicated that the last sales phase in July and August witnessed the sale of more than 500,000 tickets, while the final phase of ticket sales will be announced at the end of this month, and World Cup tickets will soon be available for purchase through sales outlets across Qatar.

Each ticket holder can invite up to three non-ticket fans to enter Qatar, with a minimum entry fee for non-ticket fans, aged 12 and over, and this is scheduled to be made available in conjunction with the start of the last phase of the ticket sales campaign late this month.

Engineer Yasser Al-Jammal, Director General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, expressed his happiness with the high numbers of ticket sales for the tournament matches, and looked forward to welcoming football fans from around the world, in the global football celebration, with the start of the whistle approaching next November.

He added, “We are pleased with the results of ticket sales, and we are just a few weeks away from the launch of the biggest sporting event in Qatar, and for the first time in our region. We are pleased to welcome fans from all over the world to a global event that attracts fans with enthusiasm for this wonderful game.”

He added, “Fans will find hospitality and warm welcome waiting for them, and they will have fun times with strong competitions and a lot of entertainment outside the stadiums. There is no doubt that the World Cup in Qatar will put its distinctive mark on the World Cup map as an unparalleled version that will leave a tangible impact in Qatar and the Arab world and the region.”

Preparations continue to host the most closely spaced version in the modern history of the World Cup, allowing fans, players, administrative and technical bodies accompanying the teams to remain in the heart of the event throughout the historic tournament, as the longest distance between two stadiums does not exceed 75 km.

In this context; Nasser Al-Khater, CEO of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, stressed that the nature of close distances that is unique to the World Cup in Qatar is an important advantage for fans, and allows them to be near the World Cup stadiums and entertainment events that will be held throughout the tournament period.

He added, “Fans will have a unique opportunity in the modern history of the tournament, to attend more than one match in one day during the early stages of the World Cup competitions. Fans and players will also find world-class stadiums, many distinctive options for accommodation, in addition to a wide range of activities and entertainment events across the country, especially the FIFA Fan Festival, which is expected to attract thousands of fans at Al Bidda Park in Doha.”
