Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed welcomes the President of the Asian Football Confederation
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, received yesterday at Qasr Al Watan His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation.
During the meeting, they discussed programs and plans for the development of the AFC and the advancement of football in the region. The two sides reviewed the leading role of the UAE in supporting football initiatives at the Asian and international levels.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the role of the AFC and its efforts in developing the sport of football, noting the great interest given by the wise leadership to support local and international sports initiatives.
The meeting coincided with Abu Dhabi’s hosting of the 18th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup / UAE 2021, which will witness the participation of the elite of the continental champions, and its competitions will conclude next Saturday.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Faris Al Mazrouei, Advisor at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, and His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Professional League.
