Results of the final Asian qualifiers draw for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar
The draw for the final round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar was held on Thursday morning.
The teams qualified for the final round were categorized according to the special classification issued by the International Federation of Football on June 18, and the draw was conducted according to the levels system. The 12 teams were divided into five levels which were finally divided into two groups.
The UAE and Iraq teams were drawn in Group A, along with Iran, South Korea, Syria and Lebanon.
The draw included Saudi Arabia and Oman in Group B, along with Japan, Australia, China and Vietnam.
The games for the final round of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup will start next September with two rounds, followed by two rounds in October, and the same in November. The remaining rounds will be completed next year in January and February with one round per month, while the qualifiers will conclude in March by two rounds.
