Gulf teams raise the pace of preparations for the double qualifiers

The Gulf teams have increased their preparations for the double Asian qualifiers by setting up internal and external camps, interspersed with friendly matches, in order to fully prepare to return to complete the remainder of the double Asian qualifiers.

The holder of the Gulf Cup championship, Bahrain, entered a camp in Ukraine on the 15th of this month and will continue until the 28th of this month, during which they witnessed a friendly match in Ukraine that ended in a positive draw.

The UAE national team is preparing for an internal camp in Dubai that began on the 15th of this month and will extend until the 31st of the month, in which the UAE witnessed a friendly 5-1 victory over Jordan.

The Kuwaiti national team entered an outdoor camp in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on May 18 and will continue until the 29th of the same month, during which Al-Azraq witnessed the establishment of a friendly match against Malaysia, the Kuwaiti Blue won (4-1).

The Omani team is also preparing for its camp in Dubai between the 16th of this month and the 30th of the same month, during which a match against Thailand ended with Oman winning with a clean goal.

The Qatari team started an internal camp on the 17th of this month until the qualifying matches where they will host the Group E matches.

The Iraqi national team entered an internal camp since the 18th of this month and will continue for 12 days, during which they played a friendly match against Tajikistan, which ended in a goalless draw.

While the Saudi national team’s last preparations will start in a camp on the 31st of this month and will continue until the double qualifying matches after a previous camp in March.

While the Yemeni team’s preparations were extended on several occasions, the last of which was an internal camp last April for a period of three weeks, followed by an external camp in Riyadh since the sixth of this month.

The teams will return to complete the remaining rounds next June, as the Iraqi team leads the third group while Bahrain is in the runners-up. The same applies to Qatar which leads the fifth group and Oman in the runners-up, while the Saudi team is the other top in the fourth group. The Yemeni team ranks fourth in the same group, while Kuwait is ranked second in the second group, and the UAE is fourth in the seventh group.
