The memory of the second Gulf title of Saudi Arabia

January 30th marks the anniversary of the second Saudi title in the Gulf Cup tournaments when they were awarded the 15th Gulf Cup in 2002 at home and among their fans.

The Saudi national team waited for eight years to regain its success in achieving the Gulf Cup after they won the title in 1994 in the Gulf Cup 12 which was held in the Emirates.

Al-Akhdar of Saudi Arabia managed to win the title after the start of a positive draw against Kuwait. This was followed by four consecutive victories over Bahrain by three goals against a goal, the Emirates with a clean goal, and Oman with two clean goals, before winning the title in the last match against Qatar with three goals against a goal that made them at the top of the standings one point away from Qatar and crowned their second Gulf title.
