Al-Hamdan continues to shine and wins “The Best” award

Saudi Arabia’s 20-year-old striker Abdullah Al-Hamdan continued his impressive run in the 24th GCC Championship after scoring the only goal for his country against Qatar, which set Saudi Arabia in the final for the fourth time since the introduction of the group system in 2004 – after 2009, 2010, 2014.

Al Shabab Club player dedicated the win to the players of his country and wished the success of the Qatari national team in the upcoming game. He stressed that the focus is now on achieving the title in the upcoming final against Bahrain on Sunday evening.

This is the second time the young player has won the Player of the Year award, after scoring a goal and shining for 90 minutes against Bahrain in the group stage.
