Kuwaiti League: Kuwait takes the lead and Al-Fahaheel joins the championship stage
The Kuwaiti team took the lead in the Kuwaiti Football League at the end of the league stage, after defeating its counterpart Al-Nasr with two goals to none in the match that was held on Friday at Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium in the eighteenth round competitions.
Kuwait’s goals were scored by Mohammed Dahham (2) and Ahmed Al-Dhafiri (54), raising the team’s score to 43 points, one point ahead of Al-Arabi, which beat Kazma with a goal from Ayman Al-Sfaxi (4).
Al-Qadisiyah achieved a major victory over Al-Shabab with seven free goals scored by Ibrahima Tandia (6, 18, 58), Muhammad Sawla (30, 79 from a penalty kick), Eid Al-Rashidi (61), and Badr Al-Mutawa (69).
On the other hand, Al-Fahaheel secured its place in the tournament stage with its great victory over Al-Salmiya with four goals scored by Victor da Silva (2 and 24), Nasuh Al-Nakdali (43) and William Barros (90 + 6), against a goal that came from Abudou Diarra (19).
Al-Jahra won over Khaitan with two goals scored by Igor Salatil (88) and Badr Al-Enezi (90) versus a goal scored by Yaqoub Al-Taraura (22 from a penalty kick).
It is worth noting that the Kuwaiti league competition system stipulates that the first six teams on the general ranking list qualify for the championship stage, where they play among themselves in the league system in order to decide the title, while the remaining four teams play among themselves in the league system also in order to determine the identity of the two teams that will leave towards the first degree.
