Al-Nahda of Oman is the first to qualify for the Western semi-finals of the AFC Cup

The Omani Al-Nahda Club succeeded in snatching the qualification ticket to the West Asian semi-finals of the AFC Cup, when it achieved victory at home and among its fans over the Lebanese Al-Ahed Club 2-1, in the match that was held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Stadium in Muscat.

Al-Nahda’s two goals were scored by Algerian Bilal Ben Saha in the 33rd minute, and Omar Al Maliki added the second goal from a Ben Saha cross in the 35th minute, while Al Ahed reduced the gap with Ali Al Hajj’s goal in the 65th minute.

It is worth noting that the first group stage match witnessed the only loss for Al-Nahda, at home to the Lebanese Al-Ahed, which played its match in the Sultanate of Oman, with the same score 1/2.
