The Asian honors the late Saud Al-Muhannadi
During the annual awards ceremony held at the Qatar National Convention Center yesterday evening, the AFC awarded Al-Ittihad Diamond Award to the late Saud Al-Muhannadi, former Vice President of the AFC and member of the International Federation Council, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of Asian football.
The AFC Diamond is the highest honor bestowed by the Continental Confederation in recognition and honor of exemplary individual endeavors towards the development of football in Asia. The continental ceremony reviewed stages of the deceased’s career in a video that summarized the most prominent stages of work and the positions he held, and his exceptional and continuous dedication throughout his life to the advancement of the Asian game.
