Gulf clubs begin their journey with the King Salman Cup

The 16th edition of the King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs will start tomorrow, Thursday, and will be hosted by Saudi Arabia and will continue until August 12.

The tournament prizes amount to more than 10 million dollars, the winner of the title gets 6 million dollars, the runner-up gets 2.5 million dollars, while the teams that qualify for the golden square get 150 thousand dollars, and each team in the group stage gets 100 thousand dollars.

The Gulf clubs will begin the first round confrontations, as the tournament opens with the Qatari Al-Sadd match and the Moroccan Wydad in the second group competitions, and in the same group, the Saudi Hilal meets the Libyan Al-Ahly Tripoli.

In the first group, Al-Ittihad Jeddah will face the Saudi Professional League champion last season, the Tunisian club Al Turji , and the same group will also witness the confrontation between the Iraqi Al Shorta and the Tunisian Sfaxien.

While the matches of the round will resume on Friday, with two purely Gulf confrontations, as the Kuwaiti Al Wahdah faces the Emirati Al Wahdah, and the Saudi Al Nasir faces the Saudi Al Shabab
