Announcing the classification of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup finals draw in Qatar

The classification of the 2023 Asian Cup draw in Qatar have been almost completed, which will be held on May 11, 2023 in Doha at 2:00 pm, following the announcement of the new classification in international football association.

The Qatar national team, the host and champion of the last edition of the jewel of the Asian championships, came first in the first pot in the draw that will be held at the Opera House in Katara, in order to ensure that the host international team will play the opening match on January 12, 2024.

The Qatar national team is joined in the first level by the teams ranked from second to sixth according to the FIFA classification, which is Japan, which has won the title four times before, Iran, winner of the tournament title three times, South Korea, which has crowned the title twice, Australia, champion of the 2015 edition, and Saudi Arabia. Three-time championship winner.

On the other hand, the second level includes the Iraqi teams, the champions of the 2007 edition, the UAE, which hosted the last edition in 2019, Oman, Uzbekistan, which reached the semi-finals of the 2011 edition, China, which won the runner-up twice, and Jordan.

In the third level came the teams of Bahrain, Syria, Palestine, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan and Lebanon, while the fourth level includes India and Tajikistan, which are participating first in the tournament, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The 24 teams participating in the tournament will be divided into six groups, so that each group includes four teams, and the first two teams from each group will qualify for the Round of 16, along with the four best third-placed teams, noting that the final match will take place on February 10, 2024.

The ceremony witnesses the presence of a group of historical stars in the continent of Asia, to participate in the drawing of lots, and the coaches of the 24 teams are also present.
