The Saudi Faisali bid farewell to the Asian champions against the Iranian Khuzestan Fuladh

The journey of the Saudi Al-Faisaly team in the AFC Champions League ended after losing to the Iranian Foolad Khuzestan 1-0 at Al-Thumama Stadium in Doha, in the round of 16 of the 2022 AFC Champions League.

After the first half ended in a goalless draw, Sasan Ansari succeeded in scoring the precious winning goal for Foolad in the 64th minute.

In the group stage, Al-Faisaly topped the standings of the fifth Group with 9 points from six matches, with a difference in direct confrontations against Nasaf of Uzbekistan, compared to 7 points for Al-Sadd of Qatar and 6 for Al-Wehdat of Jordan.

On the other hand, Foolad topped the standings of the third Group with 12 points from six matches, compared to 10 points for Al-Ahly Dubai youth of the Emirates, 5 for Al-Gharafa of Qatar and 4 for Al-Turkmani’s people.
