Oman’s Al-Seeb is the champion of His Majesty the Sultan’s Cup

At seven in the evening yesterday, Muscat time, the curtain came down on the His Majesty the Sultan’s Cup for the current sports season, which brought together Al-Seeb (Muscat Governorate) and Al-Rustaq (South Al Batinah Governorate).

Although Al-Rustaq reached the final of the competition for the first time in its history, it presented a distinguished meeting, and had some confirmed opportunities, but it did not take advantage of them, and remained steadfast against the attacks of the Sibawi Emperor until the 87th minute, when the Omani Red striker and Al-Seeb Club Mohsen Al-Ghassani succeeded in kidnapping the first goal.

After the goal, Annabi Al-Jabal crawled towards the attack to try to compensate during the short remaining time, to open up vast areas in the back, which Al-Seeb took advantage of from a counter-attack, and the right-back of the Omani team and Al-Seeb player Amjad Al-Harthy scored the second goal.

It is worth noting that this title is Al-Seeb’s fourth in his history in the precious cup, and it has been absent from the club’s coffers for 24 years.
