Iraqi team defense leader speaks after the victory

The Iraqi team defense leader thanked the young players after winning the game against the host of the ongoing Gulf Cup tournament.

“Before the game, our circumstances were difficult and it was clear to everyone whether we talked about the absence of the police club’s players or the professional players abroad,” the Iraqi team defense leader told the Gulf Arab Cup Federation after the opening match.

He continued: “Our preparations for the Qatari team in Doha was for three days only with the presence of only 11 players, but the coaching staff chose what is appropriate in relation to the current circumstances, and in the end we played on behalf of Iraq, and I would like to thank all the young players who have done well.”

On what is coming, Ahmed Ibrahim said: “The next is difficult and we are facing difficult confrontations against UAE and Yemen. I spoke before that this version will be stronger and better because of the organization and also the technical aspect.”
