Approval of the Media Committee Formation for “Khaleeji 27” and Endorsement of the Media Guide

 

The Media Committee of the Gulf Cup Football Federation held its first meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, on the sidelines of the draw ceremony for the 27th edition of the tournament, Khaleeji 27, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, at Culture Square – the Art Center of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Historic Jeddah.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Chairman of the Media Committee, and attended by Faisal bin Youssef Al-Tuwaihir, Vice Chairman of the Committee, alongside Sattam Ali Al Sahli, Salem Ali Al Naqbi, Saif Al Jabri, Ahmed Mahdi Mirza, Moaz Al Khamisi, and Riyadh Mahdi, representing the Gulf member associations, in addition to Mohammed Al Ghamdi, Chairman of the Local Media Committee, and Mirna Ahmed Ammar, Committee Rapporteur.

During the meeting, the committee approved the official formation of the Media Committee for Khaleeji 27, in addition to endorsing the tournament’s media guide and related media procedures, while also discussing several agenda items related to the organization of the championship.

Mr. Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Chairman of the Media Committee for Khaleeji 27, praised the significant efforts being undertaken by partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in preparation for hosting the tournament draw ceremony tomorrow, Tuesday. He also commended the warm hospitality extended to the delegations of the working committees and representatives of the Gulf football associations.

Al Kuwari expressed his confidence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ability to deliver an exceptional edition of the highly anticipated Gulf tournament next September, citing the extensive expertise and organizational capabilities available. He added that the Media Committee will continue to hold coordination meetings during the coming period to strengthen joint cooperation between the Gulf Cup Football Federation, the Local Organizing Committee, and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

The city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will host the prestigious tournament from September 23 to October 6, 2026. The championship continues to embody the values of unity and fraternity among the peoples of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, while serving as a platform that brings together sporting excellence and strong social and cultural connections across the region.
