Kuwaiti League: Al-Arabi’s stumble gives Kuwait the lead

Kuwait Club took the lead in the overall standings of the Kuwaiti Football League after defeating Al-Fahaheel 4-1 in the seventh round of the competition. Kuwait’s goals were scored by Ahmed Al-Zenki (35), Mohammed Freih (53), Mohammed Dahham (58), and Fawaz Al-Mubailesh (87). While Al-Fahaheel’s goal was scored by Julio Cesar (73).

Al-Arabi suffered its first loss this season, which was against Al-Nasr, with three goals scored by Ayman Lakjaa (63) and Hansel Zapata (90 + 3 and 90 + 11 from a penalty kick), against a goal scored by Hamza Khaba (60).

Al-Qadisiyah advanced to second place by defeating Kazma with two free goals scored by Ibrahima Tandia (32) and Youssef Bin Souda (37). With the same result, Al-Shabab won over Al-Jahra, with Ibrahim Gaye (2 and 51) scoring for the first.

Salmiya overcame its counterpart, Khaitan, with three goals scored by De Freitas (45), Abudou Diarra (52), and Mehdi Dashti (90 + 7), versus a single goal scored by Rodrigo Diaz (20).
