After a marathon match that spanned two overtime periods and 10 penalty shoot-outs, at Al-Jawhara Al-Mashaa Stadium in Jeddah, and in the presence of His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia succeeded in achieving a difficult victory over Al-Wahda with a penalty shootout 6/7, after a tie in the original and extra time 1/1.

Al-Wahda took the lead in scoring in the 35th minute through Abdul Karim Youda, but Al-Hilal equalized in the 99th minute through Ali Al-Bulayhi.
