Al-Duhail is a champion of the QNB Stars League

Al-Duhail team was crowned QNB Stars League champion for the 2022-2023 season, after defeating Al-Shamal 5-2 in the match that brought them together on Monday at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Al-Duhail succeeded in winning its eighth title in the league championship in the last round, in light of intense competition from Al-Arabi, who finished in second place. The last place, for Al-Shamal to play the play-off match with Al-Khor, runners-up to Muaither, the champions of the second division.

It should be noted that Al-Duhail Club’s first local title was in the 2010-2011 season, previously under the name Lekhwiya, then it was crowned the second title in the 2011-2012 season, the third title came in the 2013-2014 season, the fourth in 2014-2015, and the fifth in the 2016-2017 season, then its sixth title in 2017-2018.

And it won the seventh title in the 2019-2020 season, for the eighth time in its history from its 12 participation in the tournament, to occupy the second place among the teams that win the most titles after Al Sadd with 16 titles, along with Al Rayyan with 8 titles.
