Al-Ahly Jeddah returns to the Saudi Professional League
Al-Ahly Jeddah officially won its promotion to the Roshen Professional League, after achieving a difficult and exciting 2/1 victory over its host Hajar, in the 30th stage of the First Division League (Yellow League).
And Al-Ahly guaranteed the official promotion to the Senior League 4 rounds before the end of the Yellow League, as it raised its score to 65 points, 15 points ahead of Al-Faisaly, who is in fifth place, and who has 5 matches left, noting that Al-Ahly has the advantage of direct confrontations.
Al-Ahly advanced first through Hassan Al-Ali in the fourth minute of the counted time instead of the lost life of the first half, before the homeowners responded in the second half with the equalizing goal through Jean-Marc Makusu in the 56th minute, and at a time when the match was heading for a tie, the referee awarded a penalty kick to Al-Ahly after returning to the video assistant referee (VAR) technique, to be scored by Algerian Riyad Boudebouz in the seventh minute of lost time for the second half, giving Al-Ahly the most valuable three points this season.
It is noteworthy that the tournament regulations stipulate that the first four positions in the ranking table will rise to the Roshen League.
