Al-Duhail takes advantage of Al-Arabi’s stumble and takes the lead in the Qatari league

Al-Duhail strengthened its position at the top of the Qatar Stars League by defeating its host Umm Salal 2/1 in the twentieth stage of the tournament.

Al-Wakra also defeated its Al-Arabi host 2/1, and Al-Sailiya swept its host Al-Ahly 4/0.

Al-Duhail raised its score in the lead to 48 points, widening the difference with Al-Arabi runner-up to five points. Umm Salal’s balance stopped at 16 points in the penultimate position, and Al-Wakra raised its score to 33 points in fourth place.

Kenyan Michael Olonga advanced with a goal for Al-Duhail in stoppage time for the first half, and Adel Al-Rehaili immediately responded with the equalizer for Umm Salal, then Olonga scored the second in the 64th minute.

And at Hamad Grand Stadium, Youssef Abdel Razzaq advanced with a goal for Al-Wakra in the 34th minute, but the Syrian Omar Al-Somah equalized for Al-Arabi eight minutes before the end, and in the last seconds of the match, Mohamed Khaled Hassan snatched the goal of the fatal victory for Al-Wakra.

And at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium, Argentine Sergio Javier Vitor advanced with a goal for Al Sailiya in the 34th minute, then Sweden’s Carlos Strandberg scored the second and third goals in the 61st and 86th minutes, and Hassan Balang finished the scoring in the final seconds.

Al-Ahly played with ten players since the 56th minute to expel Yazan Al-Naimat, raising Al-Sailiya’s balance to 13 points while continuing in the last position, and Al-Ahly’s balance was stopped at 21 points in eighth place.
