For the tenth time in its history, Sharjah, the UAE, is the champion of the 46th edition of the President’s Cup

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, crowned Sharjah Club with the title of the President’s Cup for the tenth time in its history, after defeating Al Ain on penalties 13-12 in the final of the 46th edition of the tournament, in the meeting that was hosted by Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi, after the match ended in a tie for the two teams with a goal for each.

Mohammed Abdul Basit scored the first goal for Sharjah in the second minute of the start of the second half, and Laba Kodjo equalized for Al Ain in the 56th minute.

Thus, Al Sharjah equaled the record held by Shabab Al Ahly with 10 titles for each of them, while Al Ain continued to be in third place with 7 titles.

Adel Al Hosani, the Sharjah goalkeeper, saved two penalty kicks from Al Mahdi Mubarak and Matthias Palacios, after a record number of penalty kicks amounted to 28 kicks, with 14 kicks for each team. Sharjah penalties kick were successfully scored by Caio Lucas, Paco Alcacer, Luan Pereira, Khaled Bawazir, Meloni, Khaled Al Dhanhani, Shaheen Abdul Rahman, Majid Rashid, Majid Suroor, Adel Al Hosani, Caio Lucas, Paco Alcacer and Luan Pereira, while Manolas missed, while Al-Ain penalties kicks were scored by Andrei Yarmolenko, Eric, Laba Kodjo, Matthias Palacios, Bandar Al-Ahbabi, Yahya Nader, Kwame, Ahmed Berman, Jonatas, Muhammad Busanda, Andrei Yarmolenko and Laba Kodjo, while Mahdi Mubarak and Matthias Palacios missed.
