Asian Youth Cup: Qatar loses the third round to Australia

The Qatar national team lost to Australia 9-1 at Jar Stadium in Tashkent, in the third and final round of the second Group competitions in the AFC U-20 Youth Cup 2023 in Uzbekistan.  With this result, Australia qualified for the quarter-finals.

On Wednesday, the first round of the group Iran won against Qatar 1-0 and Vietnam won against Australia 1-0, while the second round on Saturday Vietnam won against Qatar 2-1 and Australia won against Iran 3-2.

The first two teams from each group qualify for the quarter-finals, whose matches will be held on March 11 and 12.

It is noteworthy that the teams that finish in the first four places in the tournament qualify for the FIFA U-20 Youth World Cup 2023 in Indonesia.
