Announcing the results of the AFC Champions League quarter-final draw for the West Asian Region

The draw drew the Saudi club Al-Hilal, the defending champion, against Foolad Khuzestan, Iran, in the quarter-finals of the 2022 AFC Champions League for the West Asian region.

This came after the draw ceremony that was held on Tuesday in the press conference hall at Al-Thumama Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha.

The second confrontation in the quarter-finals brings together Al-Duhail Al-Qatari and Al-Shabab Al-Saudi.

The quarter-final matches will be held on Thursday, with the semi-final match taking place on Sunday.

The Al-Duhail and Al-Shabab match will be held at Al-Thumama Stadium at 6:00 pm local time, while the Al-Hilal and Foolad Khuzestan match will take place at Al-Janoub Stadium at 9:00 pm.

It is noteworthy that the 2022 AFC Champions League Final will be played in two matches on April 29 and May 6, 2023.

Qatari club Al-Duhail was the first to qualify for the quarter-finals of the West region, after defeating compatriot Al-Rayyan by penalty kicks 6-7, after the two teams tied 0-0 in normal time and 1-1 in extra time on Sunday.

On the same day, the Saudi Al-Shabab Club managed to reserve its place in the quarter-finals, after defeating Nasaf 2-0.

And on Monday, Sasan Ansari led the Foolad Khuzestan team to the quarter-finals by scoring the precious winning goal in the 64th minute during the confrontation against Saudi Al-Faisaly.

The last matches of the round of 16 witnessed the victory of Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, the defending champion, over Shabab Al-Ahly Dubai of the United Arab Emirates, with a score of 3-1.
