Regional and Asian participations of Emirati referees and lecturers
The coming period, during the months of February and next March, will witness a number of distinguished participations of referees at the Asian level, in the management of various sports competitions organized by the Asian Football Confederation, in addition to the courses for developing referees.
From February 19 to 26, international Omar Al Ali will appear among the referees for the final qualifiers for the 2022 AFC Champions League, whose matches will be held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
While Khaled Ali Al-Mulla and Nasser Ali Youssef will be among the participants in the second batch of the second gathering of the AFC Academy of Referees, in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, from February 20 to 24, and the lecturer, Saleh Al-Marzouqi, in the Saudi Federation referees workshop, the second group of Saudi Federation Academy referees on 8 March.
Assistant referee Amal Jamal participated in managing a friendly match for the Saudi women’s team against Indonesia in Khobar from the 22nd to the 26th of this month, and the referee, Fahd Badr, in a friendly match in futsal, which brought together the teams of Lebanon and Palestine in Beirut during the days of 4 to 6 March next.
International referee Yahya Al-Mulla and assistant referee Ahmed Al-Rashdi appear in the AFC U-20 Championship matches hosted by Uzbekistan from March 1 to March 18, while referee Kholoud Al-Zaabi and assistant referee Amal Jamal were chosen as part of the arbitration teams for the preliminary qualifiers for the AFC U-20 Women’s Championship in Thailand in the period from 8 to 12 March 2023.
