Iraq overtakes Qatar and qualifies for the Gulf 25 Final

The Iraqi national team qualified for the 25th Gulf Final after defeating the Qatari national team with two goals to one in the semi-final match of the tournament, which took place at the Sports City Stadium on Monday.

The Iraqi team had finished the first half with two goals to one, as the Iraqi succeeded in advancing in the 19th minute through Ibrahim Baish, who tackled a ball that pushed it away from his goal, to find Baish waiting, who scored it and brought a joy to the Iraqi fans who came to the Sports City Stadium, which motivated the Iraqi team to attack.
The Qatari team tried to play on the rebounds, and succeeded in returning in the 28th minute through Amr Siraj, who took advantage of a ball that returned from the goalkeeper Jalal Hassan and put it into the net, but the Iraqi team succeeded in settling the half with a second goal scored by Ayman Hussein in the 43rd minute from a ball he received inside the penalty arc and shot it at the Qatari goal.
The second half was more equal between the two teams, as each team aimed to score, and the Qatari team almost came back early in the second half from a ball hit by Amr Siraj, but the crossbar hit it, then the goalkeeper Barshim managed to keep more than one ball from his goal.
The last minutes were very exciting between the two teams, and the struggle for the record intensified, but it did not result in anything, despite the higher chances that the Iraqi team had to score.
