Bruno: I am not afraid of the audience and we can make history

A press conference was held in Al Siyab hall in Manawai Basha hotel at 11:23 AM, Iraq time for Bruno Pinheiro the coach of the Qatari team prior to Iraq and Qatar match in the Arabian Gulf 25 semifinals.

Bruno said: “Another game tomorrow in the semifinals, I hope that all players will be prepared due to the short gap between matches. I am sure that it will be a difficult match, and the one who will make less mistakes will win but we are sure of our tactical preparation.”
The Qatari player Hamam Amin said: “We reached to the semifinals which is an accomplishment, tomorrow we aim to win, Iraq is a strong team on its land and between its audience, but we will put our efforts to win despite their advantage in taking a day more to recover, the audience is the 12th player for sure in Iraq.”

Bruno proceeded: “Iraq is a good team, they have a very impressive physical strength, they have the advantage of the audience for sure and the team aims to win, they will do their best to win but we are also ready.”

He added: “The substitution depends on the player’s performance; all players are important and I will not announce the list of course but I am focusing now on recovery. Everybody made a great effort and due to the short time there’s no room for lots of substitutions until players are fully aware of the tactics implemented on the field.”

The Qatari coach also mentioned: “The Iraqi audience has a very strong presence since the start, always the audience is a big support and I believe that it is going to be a big support to Iraq, but this won’t put us under pressure, it is going to be fun and we are ready to absorb the pressure while it is a good experience to the players to play under such circumstances.”
He concluded: “History is not a measure, we can change history when it comes to the result, winning is important for everybody to change the image and achieve the win. We are focusing on what we can change, perhaps this will represent a motivation to accomplish a win that has been absent for long.”
