Casas: Yemen developed in the second game and I don’t care who I face

At eleven in the morning, Iraq time, in the Al-Sayyab Hall at the Minawi Pasha Hotel, a press conference was held for the Spanish national team coach, Jesus Casas, who preceded the confrontation between the Lions of Mesopotamia and the Yemeni brothers in the third and last matches of the group stage. Casas spoke about the match, saying: “Yemen was better in the second meeting.” They were more organized, they were the best a lot of times, and they had a chance to draw at the end of the time. They are a strong team, and it will not be an easy match.

He added: “I did not say that the championship is not important; it is a desire, but it is not a goal that must be achieved.” We always want to win; this is a sure thing. We will change the lineup; they played in a row, the last game was difficult, and there will be changes in the lineup.

And he added: “We want to win, and we do not have any preference over anyone.” The matches are important and difficult. Winning against Yemen will give us a good push forward. Yemen played well against Oman. We must play at a high pace. We will work on high pressure, and with possession of the ball, I will focus on the speed factor.

The player, Amir Al-Ammari, said: “The tournament is a great joy because we are playing in front of our large fans, and we have their full support.” We won against Saudi Arabia in a difficult match; every match is difficult, and we will do our best to make our fans happy.

He added: We are ready to meet Yemen; it is a good and developed team; it was not luck; they did not score despite the good performance; we will try to own the ball to make it difficult for them to match.

And about Rustam, Casas said: “Saeed Rustam, as much as I am happy with all the players, they are all performing well. All of them will participate, as I mentioned to them, but whoever participates more should support their colleagues. Rustam deserves to be an essential, but every match has its appropriate formation, and of course I will not announce the formation now, but who will all participate and make a difference?”

Casas confirmed: “I always talk to the players about the tactical aspect.” We showed individual videos to each individual player to correct mistakes. We try to correct mistakes with every match. There are intensive video meetings, and they understand and develop well.

He concluded: “I do not care who I face.” Our dream is to reach the final, and we have the desire to achieve the title. I think facing Bahrain or Qatar will be good because they are strong teams, and I hope to win the final. Now we are thinking about Yemen, so we have not qualified yet; in our heads now is only Yemen.
