Pinheiro: First win does not mean qualifying and I thank the Iraqi fans

A press conference was held in the conference hall of the Manawi Pasha Hotel by Bruno Pinheiro, coach of the Qatar national team, which precedes the Bahrain match tomorrow as part of the second round matches of the second group, which is hosted by the Olympic Port Stadium. The meeting was equal, and the next meeting will be different. The coach has been with them for a long time, the team is in harmony, and he played a great match.

And about preparing for the match: the matches are close, we do not have enough time, we are working on recovery by focusing physically and mentally, and we watched videos that make it easier for us to explain the tactics.

And about the team’s form in tomorrow’s match and whether it will be different from the first meeting: The victory gives us confidence; it was very important, and if it were repeated tomorrow, it would be a good thing. We prepared within two weeks, and winning is important for the players.

And about the obstacle that he will face after watching the rest of the teams and having the ambition to qualify: winning the first meeting does not mean qualifying; we only think about tomorrow’s meeting, and we take each meeting separately; winning tomorrow’s meeting is what we focus on now.

On the Iraqi public’s encouragement of Al-Annabi in the first meeting: I am happy to be in Iraq and to organize the tournament. It is the first time I visit it, and I am very happy. We have the support of the masses, which helps us to appear well, and we will strive to win, and I thank the Iraqi public for supporting us in the first meeting.

Meshaal Barshim said: “The Bahrain match is difficult, as he is the holder of the ball, and we will strive to win.”

And about Barshim’s expectations of the match and ambitions: It will not be easy, there is no stable team, and we must focus on the meeting now.

Regarding his opinion of the team in the middle of the group, Barshim said: “We gathered only a month ago, but most of the players played together in the Sunni clubs and teams, and the team is stable.”
