Bahrain begins its title defense journey with a victory over the UAE

The Bahraini team succeeded in the beginning of defending the title by defeating the Emirati team with a score of 2-1 after the first half ended in a goalless draw, and the Bahraini team scored the first three points in the second group of the Zain 25 Gulf Cup in Basra.

The Emirati team started the match with a pressing attack on the Bahraini goal, but they did not take advantage of their impulsiveness and threat to the goal before the Bahraini team responded to them with a quick attack, and the UAE goalkeeper managed to save more than one ball.

The Bahraini national team scored the first goal through its player Camille Hassan in the 60th minute of the match. His colleague, Jassim Al-Sheikh, strengthened the Bahraini lead with a second goal in the 77th minute, before Vigali narrowed the difference in the 92nd minute to end the match with a valuable victory for Bahrain over the Emirates.
