The coordination meeting for the first round matches of the Zain Gulf Cup 25

The coordination meeting for the Arabian Gulf Cup tournament for the group stage was held today at 2 p.m. at the Grand Millennium Hotel in the presence of committee officials and media officials of the teams. It was moderated by Mr. Hamid Al-Shaibani, who started with a welcome speech to the representative of the Iraqi Federation before introducing himself and the other attendees.

This was followed by the presentation of the agenda for the meeting, the presentation of competition pictures, and the organization of the group stage by dividing the teams into two groups, the first and second qualifying, a sixth substitution is allowed before extra times, and technical matters were clarified during the matches, including the time regulation for each match, the places for each class, and the ceremonies for teams entering the competition.

The representative of the Referees Committee spoke in the tournament, confirming the holding of an arbitration lecture for all participants, stressing the commitment to fair play, and explaining everything related to the players’ equipment, according to the articles of the law, including the mechanism for treating players inside the stadium, determining the penalties for the technical area, as well as the technique for using the referee technique. Auxiliary video and medical matters related to the tournament were also discussed, with the aim of preserving in a distinct way the lives of everyone (players, technical and administrative staff, and fans), with the presentation of accredited hospitals as well as the mechanism for doping examination.

The meeting also discussed everything related to the tournament in terms of marketing matters for the official sponsor, Zain, and security matters in all well-secured tournament facilities, as well as clarifying the movement of teams and referees between hotels and stadiums in coordination with security.

Then the organizational media procedures were discussed with regard to press conferences before and after the matches at the Minawi Pasha Hotel, as well as pre-match meetings and open training.

Then the times and stadiums of the matches were shown, as well as the colors of the shirts of the teams, whether the main or reserve players and goalkeepers, during all the group stage matches, as well as the referees.

In conclusion, the eligibility of the players was reviewed, the final list of the teams was approved by the Competitions Committee, and confirmation was given of the new opening date of the tournament and the first-day matches.
