The Oman national team is testing its readiness for the Gulf Cup 25 against Syria

Today, Friday, at 7:30 pm Mecca Al-Mukarramah time, the Omani national football team will play a friendly match against its Syrian brother on the grounds of Al-Ahly Youth Stadium in Dubai, as part of its preparations for the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra, which will be held starting from the sixth of next January, where the Omani Red will play in Group A alongside Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
An important confrontation for Al-Ahmar is the first since the confrontations between Germany and Belarus last month, in which the team presented a good level, as it lost with great difficulty to Germany in Muscat and beat Belarus in the UAE city of Al-Ain.
The Syria match is of great importance due to the similarity of the playing style with Iraq, as it relies more on physical strength and long balls, and through it the Croatian coach Branko Ivankovic hopes to reassure the Al-Ahmar fans before the Gulf battle.
The list of the Omani national team that was announced includes: Ahmed Al-Rawahi, Muhammad Al-Musalmi, Juma Al-Habsi, Salah Al-Yahya’i, Hareb Al-Saadi, Ahmed Al-Khamisi, Fayez Al-Rashidi, Amjad Al-Harthy, Issam Al-Subhi, Khaled Al-Buraiki, Mahmoud Al-Mashafri, Ibrahim Al-Mushaini, Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Ali Al-Hinai, Al-Mundhir Al-Alawi, Ahmed Al-Matroushi, Moataz Saleh, Yazid Al-Ma’ashani, Awad Al-Shehri and Abdullah Al-Mushrafi, Musaab Al-Maamari, Ahmed Al-Adawi, Fahmy Durbin, Walid Al-Muslimi, Jamil Al-Yahmadi, Zaher Al-Aghbari, Omar Al-Maliki, Hatem Al-Rushdi and Arshad Al-Alawi.
