The Saudi file is the only one in the competition to host the 2027 Asian Cup after India withdrew

The Asian Football Confederation has received an official notification from the Indian Football Association regarding the latter’s decision to withdraw from the competition to host the 2027 Asian Cup.

And the Executive Office of the Asian Football Confederation had shortened the competitors to host the tournament to the Indian Football Association and the Saudi Football Association, during its meeting held on October 17, 2022, and the General Assembly of the Asian Football Confederation will make the final decision on the matter of the host country during its meeting during February 2023 in Manama.

In the wake of the withdrawal of the Indian Football Association, the bid to host the Saudi Football Association in order to host the nineteenth edition of the Asian Cup in 2027 will be the only one that will be presented to the General Assembly during its thirty-third meeting.
