UAE loses a friendly match against Paraguay with a goal in the last minutes

The UAE national team lost to Paraguay 1-0 in the international friendly match that took place within the Al-Obeid camp, which it is hosting in Austria, in preparation for the upcoming events, including the Gulf Cup 25, the West Asian Championship and the 2023 Asian Cup finals.

Paraguay’s only goal came five minutes before the end of the match, after the goalless draw dominated the situation for 85 minutes, during which Al-Abyad players presented a good level, and Khaled Issa starred in a remarkable way and saved his goal from certain goals.

The UAE team presented a distinguished level, and the two teams exchanged control during the first half, which ended in a negative tie, and the Al-Abyad midfield succeeded in creating several opportunities that did not translate into goals, while the defense line performed steadily in front of the brilliant Khaled Issa, who succeeded in leaving a clean net in this half.

In the second half, the pace of the match increased more, and attempts continued from both sides, with a relative advantage for the Paraguay team, which intensified its attacks to reach the white net, but Khaled Issa’s brilliance prevented the net from shaking until the 85th minute, when Paraguay managed to score the only winning goal, to end the match with the loss of our team with a goal without a response.

It is noteworthy that the UAE national team camp will continue in Austria until the 27th of this month, when it will conclude its camp by playing another friendly match against Venezuela, after which it will return to the homeland.
