Sharjah crowned the champion of the President’s Cup

Sharjah crowned the title of His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates Football Association for the 2021-2022 season, for the ninth time in its history, after defeating Al Wahda with a single goal without a response in the final of the tournament that brought them together on Friday evening at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

The only goal of the match was scored by Spanish Paco Alcacer, in the 52nd minute of the second half, through a surprising free kick that smashed into the nets of Mohamed Al Shamsi, Al Wahda goalkeeper.

Sharjah reduced the difference with Al-Ahly Youth Club, the record holder in this tournament with ten titles, to only one title, while Al-Wahda remained at its previous two titles.
