On the sidelines of the draw for the Gulf 25 .. The Competitions Committee of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Association holds its meeting in Basra

The Competitions Committee of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Association held its meeting yesterday, Sunday, 23rd of this month, at the Grand Millennium Hotel, Basra, which was held on the sidelines of the draw for the 25th Gulf Cup.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Hamid Al Shaibani – Yemen – Chairman of the Committee, and in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Hazam Al Dhaheri – UAE – Vice Chairman of the Committee, and in the presence of the Committee members: Saudi Arabia, Qutaiba Al Ghailani – Oman, and Shehab Ahmed – Iraq.

During the meeting, topics on the agenda were discussed, as the readiness of the sports facilities to host the tournament and the residences of the participating teams through the hotels nominated for hosting were reviewed.

The committee also discussed the mechanism for conducting the draw in accordance with Article V of the competition regulations, whereby the latest FIFA classification will be used to distribute the levels of the participating teams when the draw is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11:00 am.

The committee affirmed its full support for the success of holding the tournament in Iraq according to the possible circumstances, praising the efforts made by the Iraqi brothers to host the tournament, and demanding entry facilities for fans to attend the tournament.
