The Secretary-General of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, Jassim Al-Rumaihi, held a press conference on the sidelines of the Gulf 25 draw in Basra, many important aspects that will accompany the tournament and many details. Al-Rumaihi participated in answering the audience’s questions from various media outlets, Ahmed Odeh Zamil, head of the media committee at Gulf 25.

Al-Rumaihi said in the press conference: “Holding the draw ceremony is the first step towards holding the 25th Gulf Cup in Basra, where coordination was carried out between the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation and the Local Organizing Committee on all organizational matters and final arrangements for hosting, and coordination was also made with the concerned authorities to allow citizens of countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council decided to travel to Iraq without visas during the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra, early next year.”

Jassim Al-Rumaihi expressed his happiness and appreciation for the success of the draw ceremony for the Arab Gulf Cup – Gulf 25 – which will be hosted in Basra from January 6-19, which resulted in strong confrontations and expected Gulf derbies, expressing his hope that this version will be better than the previous version, which is It is standard practice in every tournament we organize.”

On the participation in the main team of each team, the Secretary-General of the Arab Gulf Cup Federation explained: “The list of the Gulf Cup provides for the participation of the first and not the auxiliary teams, and the presence of star players gives the tournament a great impetus at the technical and media levels.”

The Secretary-General of the Arab Gulf Union stated that the arbitration teams will be limited to an arbitration team from each country, in addition to an Asian and international arbitration team with the application of video assistant mouse technology.

Al-Rumaihi called on the media, in particular, to shed light on Basra and its preparations to host the tournament, and to convey a vivid image that reflects the safe reality that Basra is experiencing, with the concerted efforts of all efforts to reach a copy of the most distinguished copies with the presence of the large fans who will attend the tournament, which will be one of the most important factors for its success.

In turn, Ahmed Zamel, head of the Media Committee of Gulf 25, answered the journalists’ questions, saying: “Work is in full swing with great cooperation and high coordination between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the local government headed by the Governor of Basra, the supporting government agencies and the Iraqi Football Association regarding hosting the 25 Gulf.”

He added: “The work is progressing at a fast pace and the hosting will be ideal and high-level, and we have formed supreme, subsidiary and executive committees that carry out their duties in full readiness, and we are still working in all its aspects.”

And Zamil indicated that holding the draw is the first step to hosting the 25th Gulf Arab League, as the ingredients are already in place and the date is already set, and there is permanent coordination with the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation to come out with the championship in the best organizational form.

On the role of the media committee, Ahmed Odeh confirmed by saying: “It was agreed to nominate Khaled al-Kuwari as deputy head of the media committee and to approve the formation of the committee with its members and its rapporteur, which is a first step for the upcoming tournaments. The media will reveal its details later, as there is a great deal of work awaiting us.”
