The distribution of the Gulf teams after the draw for the 2022 Asian Futsal Cup in Kuwait

Last Thursday, the Asian Futsal Cup 2022 finals were withdrawn in Kuwait, and 16 teams are competing to win the precious continental title, as the tournament will be held in the West Asia region for the first time in 10 years, from 27 September to 8 October 2022.

The participating teams were divided into 4 groups, with each group comprising four teams. The host Kuwait team came in the first group, while the rest of the teams were classified according to the results of the 2018 Asian Futsal Championship in Chinese Taipei. The top two teams in each group qualify for the quarter-finals.

The draw for the Asian Futsal Cup 2022 in Kuwait was as follows:

Group A: Kuwait, Iraq, Thailand, Oman
Group B: Uzbekistan, Bahrain, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan
Group C: Iran, Lebanon, China Taipei, Indonesia
Group D: Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Saudi Arabia.
