The UAE beach club is the champion of the West Asian Federation Championship
The UAE national beach soccer team won the West Asian Federation Championship after defeating its Omani brother, 3-2, in the final match of the tournament that brought them together yesterday evening, Monday, in the Saudi city of Jizan.
The goals of the UAE national team were scored by Walid Bishr and Hisham Montaser, “two goals”.
Ali Hamad Al-Badwawi, member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association and Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee, congratulated the players and the technical and administrative staff of the team.
Al-Badwawi stressed that Al-Abyad’s victory in the championship is a culmination of the great support provided by the Board of Directors of the Football Association headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi for the beach soccer programs and competitions, which produced for the national team a number of talented players, who achieved the first regional championship in the first regional and official participation, noting that the plan to develop the beach soccer activity is continuing to preserve the gains and achievements made in the current period, and to continue the targeted development process within the vision of 2038 and to reach higher development stages during the coming period.
Al-Badwawi praised the players’ commitment, discipline, perseverance and keenness to achieve achievements, stressing that their great efforts are appreciated by everyone, noting that beach soccer enjoys great support from the Board of Directors of the Federation, and has a strong presence in the strategy and vision of 2038, and this is an important incentive to move forward in order to continue the march of Championships and achieve more continental and international titles.
Al-Badwawi said: The UAE, thanks to the wise leadership’s continuous support for sports, has become a focal point for international beach soccer due to its solid infrastructure and the availability of all the reasons for success for its championships and practice, and this requires us to build strong specialized teams that compete with the strongest teams in the world.
