The President’s Cup Final will be held on May 27 at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium
The Emirates Football Association decided to amend the date of the final match of the President’s Cup competition for the 2021-2022 sports season, to be held on Friday, May 27, at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, in Al Ain, instead of the previous date, May 11.
It is worth noting that the final of the most expensive tournaments this season will be between Al Wahda and Sharjah.
The selection of the new date came in support of the Football Association for the national team, and to provide a suitable period of time to prepare it in the required manner before facing its Australian counterpart in the Asian play-off match, which will be held on June 7 in Qatar, where the winner of this match qualifies to face the Peruvian team on the 14th of the same month in the World Cup Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.
The past days witnessed coordination meetings between the departments of competitions and national teams in the Federation and officials of the Emirates Professional League, in the presence of Argentine national team coach Rodolfo Aruabarina, to consult and set the appropriate agenda for the matches of the remaining rounds of the ADNOC Professional League and for the team camp, which will be held on May 24 without the players of the two sides of the final match of the most expensive competition, where they will join the White Gathering on the 28th of the same month.
